Nutters In PortugalThe Snack Bar
As most of you will be well aware by now the bar was purchased on 31st November 2005 and we started business the following day.
Pictures of the bar can be found below (click on the picture to enlarge it), it isn't the biggest place in the world but was bought for family manageability rather than trying to make a fortune. The bar has around 34 seats 9-12 of which are outside in the sun, we then have around 10 chairs in the corridor and the remaining seats are inside the bar area.
The bar can easily be ran between the family members which then means there is no need to rely on staff. However we do currently have one person helping us out, a bloke called Shaun (picture below) who moved over to Portugal around about the same time as we bought the bar. Builder by trade but he can turn his hands to anything, he does tend to complain that we have ruined his hands though due to all the washing up he does :-)
We have now all got to grips with the bar and now that more of us are here we are hoping to advertise it a little more and have also started with little improvements in the bar. These include extending the room sizes by moving walls which also enable us to maintain the heat in winter. This will also enable us to keep the bar cooler in summer once we have had the Air Conditioning installed.
